Re: jimmy
i use very, very little aluminum foil, because i read at one time they had linked aluminum to alzheimers. now my sister has told me she read that floride in the drinking water has also been linked to dementia.

i have done the same thing as annicita!
i do not use a microwave because the microwave does change the molecular makeup of the food rendering it valueless. it is hard learning how to cook in smaller portions, at least for me, but i am learning to eat smaller portions also to lose weight and be healthier.

Good thinking Marrise I like stainless steel saucepans. Once folk used Pewter as dishes and lead glass decanters.

i am not sure about half these things that one reads...there is always some
thing wrong with everything one does according to some survey. Still plastic is made from oil so that doesn't seem real good somehow.

I've read about such things too. My wife and I always try to microwave things in glass, and only store things in plastic in the fridge. We learned years ago about the similar dangers of wrapping food in aluminum foil, and no longer use that product at all, for anything! The more you know . . .
