Re:

Hi FS, I expect one or two still get a run for their money, but it is not too bad if they can go into their dens.

Re: CCT

Cannot say that I really liked the sport Bill, but there again I could say the same about hare coursing.

You do a great job at building the foxhunting scene. I would not want to be that fox...

Re: Taps

While the actual hunt was not too bad Taps there were sometimes foul practices, such as blocking the foxes den so it could not exscape too easily. Also other nasty little rituals that had probably existed from long ago. Also of course it is not a poor man's sport.

Re: Naut

You are probably right, I remember the saying. Actually I have got one or two carnations the same type that the old boy always wore in his buttonhole. Sadly the strain appears to be rather weak now but I have taken cuttings and hope that I might get a nice plant this year.

Re:

Yes very boring I expect Kabu. Goodness I can see you there pulling yourself upright and glaring at the red-faced killer.

Re: Wiley

No Wiley I don't like any form of hunting, although I suppose it is natural in some parts of the world, I hope you had a nice shower this morning.

That was great.  I've only seen fox hunts in movies.  They always seemed quite exciting, but I never did see a fox get caught and killed.  That would not have made me happy.

Re: Rumour...

Your trouble is Rumour you are putting on weight. I would love a pig as a pet, but even the dwarf ones appear to get large as they grow older. Yes bring them on.

Re: SAM

CCT...that old fox is laughing as he looks on...

I tried to jump the stream but landed in the mud, tried to wiggle under the fence but tore the seat of my pants...

I think I'll go visit the pigs....

LOL, good one. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said a foxhunt involves "The unspeakable chasing the uneatable."
