Great post.
Not too long ago, a Downs Syndrome friend died of a heart attack at age 72. You should have seen the tears at the funeral when her most favorite song was played (recording), Roy Rogers singing:
You are my sunshine,
my only sunshine.
You make me happy
when skies are gray.
You'll never know dear
how much I love you,
please don't take my sunshine away.

See? Sometimes, no matter who you are or what your situation is, you don't know what you have until it's gone. And this woman obviously didn't know what kind of friend she had in you until you were absent for an extended period of time! Great story, and a great motivator . . .
