I wouldn't have accepted a beat up and rusty one either. If I am paying I expect it to look reasonable and to function perfectly.

I know Sam I had some screws that go into metal, self tappers. Lovely if one can get them started. Gosh you are methodical, but even I would not want a rusty container. I don't think many would think of anal though. I assume you have to push your mower, good for the waistline . What a sweat if we could not go on line. You would have to use nails.
