We have had that grey windy, rainy weather too. But today it's back to sunshine and 10 c and you have a joyful day.

Re: I too love that sound of rain, also the wind chimes outside our bedroom

Hmm - me too, Kabu. I have wind chimes in each of my kitchen windows here. Love them!!

LOL, Rumor

I guess more or less is the right term to use.

I would so love to see them beat the Bruins!!

But, like you, I"m nnot sure it will happen. Then again, serie's games are unpredictable...one never knows....

Re: Every season has its perfume

So right, Ciel. Ecen if we wrinkle our noses...LOL. I still enjoy the smell of a stable - it brings memories of sitting, safe, milking cows, enjoying the closeness with my animals.

I am feeling so much better, Justi!

ANd you're right - all 3 of the smells you mention are a source of joy.

As I've missed you posts, Utah Jay.

I guess our worlds are really all in our personal perspective...

Yes, FSI. Listening to rain relaxes, I find.

Do you have a dog?

posted by adnohr on May 25, 2013 at 5:31 AM | link to this | reply

LOL - you are right there, Naut

Especially if they eat chicken. Even incense won't do the trick then!!

I sure hope you totally complete "The Wayward Brother".   Keep at it however long it takes.  You are such a good writer.

I too love that sound of rain, also the wind chimes outside our bedroom

window ...in the Winter they foretell snow. All good stuff.

adnohr...

Yep, we've noticed that "Essence of Spring" smell around here, too - from our neighbour's two dogs...like you say, one does get used to it, more or less...

I think many of us feel the same way when it comes to rain. Sometimes it's actually enjoyable, and other times it's not! I guess everything has a pro & con attached to it! And hey, my Rangers are still alive, although my "pessimist" side feels they are just prolonging the inevitable . . .

That sounds lovely. Yes doggies, kittens and even babies have smells that goes along with the joy. You sound so much better. Looking forward to another chapter....

Though your world has its ups and downs, like all worlds do, it just sounds so wonderful the way you stitch it together. I have to admit that I could almost smell the wet dogs and feel the wet flipping everywhere from their shaking fur. So it was nice to have the candles and incense to almost smell as well...I have missed your posts in my absence.

Rain has at times helped me sleep as well...I know what you are talking about with that wet dog smell.

Doggie smells are among the facts of life one learns to live with - I certainly don't mind them. And I often wonder how we smell to our dogs sometimes, given that their noses are so vastly more sensitive than ours, LOL...

There is the odd occasion when things get a bit overwhelming, of course. My Benny boy has his bed next to mine and, well, doggie farts are possibly strong enough to be weaponized...

Wet Dog, the essence of spring. Sounds like the opening line

of a perfume commercial. All we need is Brad Pitt making some incomprehensible statement that's supposed to be deep and philosophical. And before you can say Jack Daniels, it's THE trademark scent at all the Red Carpet Events.   (or not)
