An excellent post! You raise the issue of the 'unchecked socio-political changes' - very important, and an absolutely huge topic...

It is terrible what is happening. What is scary is what is going to happen when the system collapses.

The first time I had heard of this was a few years ago, when a co-worker became agitated when he heard that his new neighbor, an immigrant from Southeast Asia, was already receiving Social Security, although he had never worked a minute while in this country! Hey, the Muslims know that can't beat any of these nations in open warfare, so this is their next best thing . . . drain our economies from the inside! Hey, as long as the bleeding-heart Liberals scattered about keep buying into the notion that these people are somehow deserving, we're all in trouble . . . !

I find this most interesting. Fortunately for Canada where I am concerned,
and pension that I may ever get comes from Australia for we have an agreement between our countries. and Australia is just as silly as Canada, not enough that too much emotion has gone into our Multicultural policies.

It truly irks me when folks can get into something they have not earned! This one is a no brainer for me and should be changed to only those who pay in get the benefits! sam

Yes, and the United States seems to be fallowing in suit...However, I must put some of the blame on political correctness as well. It seems the world is on a new and slipping axis.
