Yeah jimmyA, that's the one :) I really liked it, but I'm not opposed to a story that shows the ugly bits.

I'm assuming you mean the one starring Brando. No, I have never seen it in its entirety, but have always meant to. I'm familiar with the story, but want to sit through it completely some day . . .

I saw parts of it years ago. It was depressing, but real, the way things can get when life gets rough. I just watched parts of it then , wishing for something more upbeat.

great and amazing storyline photography and acting....a true classic and without all the fancy Gizmo's needed today to bring in an audience.

I appreciated the fact that nothing about it was predictable. Most stories that I see these days kind of follow a predictable pattern, or do what gives the watcher/reader a sense of comfort. This was a story for the sake of itself, nothing about it was there to comfort the audiendence. The characters were brash, brazen, and argumentative. The setting was dingy with an old-style charm, no glossy Stepford wives homes here.

A Tennessee Williams classic from the days of my youth. His plays and the movies always seemed so strange to me, but they fascinated me. The actors chosen for the movies were always great at their parts.

I myself have not seen it. It is one of those things I do want to see.
