My Japanese DIL was taking the picture, I believe, although many standing there had camera phones, so not sure.

We 3 have birthdays within 5 days interval in July, Blue Feathers

And celebrate each year together, surrounded by a group of family and friends. Usually about 40 to 45 people, plus the children. It's always that smiley!!

The whole day!!! But in an amusing way - he's our comedian.

My doggies love the coming and going. Pits are very sociable beasts; the more hugs and pats, the better they like it. Year going good so far!!

I cannot believe that guy in the picture is your son...

You're not old enough. How the sands are shifting through your "Days of Our Lives" hourglass, somebody's moving in or out almost every week. Your doggies must be true gentlemen to adapt to so many newcomers all the time. I'm sure I would become a bit confused and cranky. I hope your birthday was fun and the whole year is full of joy and good health. :)

I always get such pleasant feelings when you mention "the soft sounds of the bush" and being out there calming down and enjoying. Everybody should have something like that in their life. I have the wooded area around the lakes that I go to although right now it is pretty hot and humid everywhere outside.

Wonderful in many ways. I have two daughters-in-law like yours anbehave been it for awhile. I have had to battle my husband most of all. My sons know their wives now and know me. It is difficult and I put the ball in their courts and they decided to us the children as weapons. I had to subdue my feelings for the grandchildren and direct my focus else where. One tried to fully me via phone and having parties with thought that I cared. Anyway, I hope it works for you. I just had to develop a thick skin to endure.

Sounds like the power came on just in time for a wonderful party. Happy Belated Birthday as well. And yeah, as in almost every family, there's always that "one" that seems to find a way of undermining everybody else's fun, even in abstentia. Hopefully things get better soon . . .
