This all sounds so familiar at times, and I agree with your assesment of it. Since I am reading backwards, I am so glad you found something that has the potential of being better. I would be curious to be amused at how her "pet" does with it. Too bad to not know how it turned out~!

My work has a policy that if you do not sign the write up, you have quit.

I found out that here in the USA you don't have to sign a write up but you can write a rebuttal to why you aren't signing....

Thanks everyone!
JPT, I did write on the discipline papers that I didn't agree with it, so at least there's that. I do part-time work writing articles, so I won't be totally without income if i get fired, but I think she's trying to get me to quit so the company doesn't have to pay unemployment. I have started to look at other jobs, I love cooking so maybe I'll find a place where the boss is more appreciative.

This is a tough spot. I was there and at first had a female doing me like that. I e-mailed to head person. Five months later they sent in a man. I kept written records. Because my job was on contract in a school system, they just simply refused to renew without cause. When they want to get rid of you they try every thing. Stand tall and remain strong. Utah & Jimmy have good advice.
i was fortunate to have a husband so that the job lost was not as detrimental as it would have been without him. I loved that job but things are better for me. Think of your situation. I always wrote, signing but do not agree with what is written. Pray for her if you are a believer and soon she will not be a problem.

I can empathize. It really does appear that she is trying to undermind you and force you out somehow, and nobody deserves to be treated that way! I guess it would be easy if in fact you hated your job. Grit your teeth, and fight back anyway you can . . .

This is abuse, plain and simple it is abuse. I feel really angry for you. I had a boss like this who set me up once. I left I just didn't have it in me to fight. I should have fought back and really admire you for not letting this person get away with this abuse they are inflicting onto you.

It stinks to have to work for a micromanager who is trying to push you out. I wish you all the best and hope that your work situation improves.

Yes, do that and keep a written record of your day and ask her to sign it each night.
