I think the first mistake many of these people make is to appear on these talk shows in the first place! First of all, I don't care what anyone says, there is no "blanket assessment," and thus blanket cure, when dealing with certain types of behavior, because each scenario differs from person to person! What works for one may not necessarily work for another! And secondly, wasn't there once an old adage about "doing one's dirty laundry in public?" Why oh why do these people feel it necessary to air their family grievances on a stage in front of a camera? I think that only makes the situation worse . . .

Well, I must say this is a touchy subject for me. My MIL made my life miserable for many many years, but she did teach me how NOT TO BE A MIL to my DILs whom I love/loved dearly.

The young imps, male and female are wrecking this country since they are encouraged to get older, wiser people out of their way and run over convention. They talk rough, or bat their eyes or whine and do more damage, not having any knowledge of what they are doing, a dangerous trend.
