Nothing and nobody is ever going to be perfect in this world, but we should keep trying. I believe we should be forgiving, but keep teaching the little ones and always set a good example.

I agree with you. Those who use it for vindicitive purposes are just as bad, or worse, that the one who make the error in the first place.

Words are neutral as you indicated. Many cannot get over words or pictures.. For some, they are stunned! Like you, I find it funny and just make sure they know not to touch me.

No one is perfect, we must make allowances, I don't know how decisions are made but some seem harsh and others much too lenient.

Some people make a good living, or even get very rich stirring the racicial pot. like my black friends, friends I have had sinnce high school, I wish we could lose the hyphens and just be Americans, not white-Americans, or black-Americans, or native-Americans...Just Americans.

One thing that people seem to forget or ignore is the fact that the words themselves are completely neutral. It's the person wielding it, and the context in which it is delivered, that should be addressed. And what makes it somewhat comical is that most of these words actually sound funny, almost like nonsensical jibberish! I grew up being called a "Pollock" long before I understood my heritage or realized that my ancestors were Polish, not Pollocks! Now I just laugh about it . . .
