This makes me feel bad Bob, not being abel to taste would only be good when my youngest daughter is cooking, then it would be a blessing. I do hope it comes back...Its just sad.

Re: I want to sing! "Help Me, Rhonda, Help Help Me, Rhonda!"
If your singing voice is anything like mine, please don't.

Did quick research on the net and found this:
Dr. Oz, is it normal to lose sense of taste?
Dr. Oz: Alright, so I got in front of you four plates and this is a tool that we can all use at home. There are a couple of things that cause loss of taste. One of them is zinc deficiency, and so I want you to start taking thirty milligrams zinc lozenges. I give this to all my patients who I operate on because after heart surgery a lot of people lose their sense of taste. And if you don't taste foods, you can't smell them, therefore you won't eat them cause they taste like wood.

Re: That was MY question, too, Rhonda.
Iwas very skeptical, but when my GP was mystified and got no answer when he called his neurological friends, I got to wondering. My cardiologist has been around the block a few times and seemed pretty sure of his opinion. I don't know. It makes for fascinating speculation and re-telling. As to that last, I really labored over how to set up the structure of this poem.

Tough times Bob, I suppose we can't wonder when things don't work like we want them to, quite an interesting view of life on the edge of the unknown. Good job you kept your marbles.

That is an interesting hypothesis your cardiologist has...I wish you well in regaining your sense of taste.
