Re: Thanks, FSI. I remember carrying around a folded piece of paper

Re: CC, as a city boy, my feet aren't that tough. I have to wear an old
pair of shoes when launching or beaching to protect against justvthe pebbles. I went to an interesting open mike across the river last night. It was held in an old former railroad station in Sleepy Hollow, the village where Washington Irving set his story of The Headless Horseman.

Re: Marissa, all the noises and effort in stanza one were very vivid
to me. I really wanted to develop a full poem after getting them down.

I remember it very thrilling mind though scraping along the gravel a bit of glass and you might not light another fire. You told me before how you loved doing this.

Kayaking is such fun, and your poem describes it perfectly. There wasn't a lot of revision to be done, was there?

I like the way you refer to the water lapping against the kayak
to a chuckle...a similar though has crossed my mind when I've been in a rowboat....excellent poem, Bob.
