Ahhh, don't let it bother you! Parents have a lot of sayings and quotes they like to throw around from time to time, and most of them don't really make much sense! Every time either I or one of my siblings ( I have 5 ) did something stupid, my dad used to mutter "Thank God I never had any kids!" To which I would blindly reply "But dad, you have six!" Then I would get the evil eye! If you're doing your best, that's all you can do. And being a "dollar short" is no big deal. But if you're ever $100 short, then you may have problems . . .

sometimes it is really difficult to get away from that voice of Mother's that whispers on in our ear. Big people we might be but Mother's words go on forever for us...

I know exactly how you feel! I am too damn compulsive about being on time, and because of that, I am usually very punctual. What's more, I get really ticked off at others when they're late! 'What do you mean you got stuck in traffic? You have lived here all your life and you don't know about Toronto traffic? Leave earlier!' That sort of thing, LOL...
I'm quite relaxed about a lot of things, but for some reason I have a hell of a time relaxing about punctuality...

I know how you feel and yet there are those times when nothing seems to go right, perhaps it is a way of God's. or our higher power's protection as who knows what may had happened had we been on time that one day. Thank you so much for your kinds words, they did lift my spirit in a wonderful way. this is the joy of our Blogit family.
