can't comment really but I believe that restuarants have always had the right to ask for a certain dress code if they want to.

Many establishments around the country ( bars, restaurants, saloons, etc. ) hang a simple sign that usually reads: "We Reserve The Right To Refuse To Serve Anyone!" And of course they have their reasons. If these places are trying to maintain a certain clientele or decorum, that's certainly their business! Personally, I applaud it! I've been to Wildwood dozens of times in my life ( remember . . . I live in central New Jersey! ) and people's respect for their appearance really has slackened off terribly over the years. It's not really fair that the rest of us should have to dine with slobs . . .
