I have advertised, CCT, but work is scarce everywhere at the moment.
This is a small town area, and most people have had the same accountant for years, are probably even related to a couple. It isn't the same firm as last year. As for me being reasonable - hmmm - one should never assume.

But when I went to check by the door, the pot of gold was nowhere to be found. I did find a butterfly though, the first I've seen this season. It was a nice consolation prize!!

In your line of work, and with your qualifications, it doesn't seem
beyond the realm of possibility that you can find a telecommuting job - maybe work mostly at home and go to HQ once or twice a week. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. If I had a company and needed an accountant, I'd put you on the payroll. I like the way you think. :)

At least you have a wonderful attitude about it all, and are staying positive. And you're right . . . things usually do happen for a reason. Yes, it's tough, and the way the economy is today, there always seems to be a "domino affect" that, when one business is affected, others seem to follow. Yeah, time to tuck the PJ's away and get out there! You're a smart woman. I think you'll be alright . . .

Perhaps you will meet a nice gentleman if you work away from home. You are still nice looking and reasonable to get on with I assume, Let's face it adnohr everyone has to work longer that is the penalty of not growing old. Of course you might be able to get more work if you advertised in your local flyers, a lot of independents do here. I hope this firm was not the same that offered you a job about a year ago, that would have been rougher still.

I cannot bear to hear this is happening to you. You have had entirely too much happen these last few years. But that worm will turn. I am now beginning to pray again for you and get others to do so if you don't object. It will be better very soon.
