i worked as a dispatcher for the city of los angeles from 1991-1995 and the first thing my senior supervisor asked me was, "carolyn do you like to read?"... needless to say it was a sweet do nothing civil service job only to be interrupted by bipolar disorder of the worst kind... oh well, now i can blog..

I guess it "pays" to work for the government, in one form or another! And I was actually surprised to see not one, not two, but three counties from New Jersey on that list! I know my wife and I are not going to be counted amongst them . . .

Yes, but none the less we see where the richest counties are sourronding the DC ares, the point is, they see not the pain of the rest of us, so why change?

In DC and surroundings you merely have the well-off! The rich wouldn't want to spend their time in Washington, of all places, LOL...

All very true Jay. I always roll my eyes when Martin O'Malley, Maryland's governor, brags about Maryland's low unemployment rate when things are really skewed.
