Look
Frankly we are all, to some extent, programmed to descriminate for all kinds of reasons. Much of the time it is simply a primal impulse to characterize where someone is from, what kind of car they drive, what political party they "belong" to... On a certain level all of our senses (taste, touch, smell) are there to help us figure out what we "like" or "don't like". Humans have been inherently "racist" and descriminatory for as long as we have been around. But as society has grown, and we have developed communities so that we don't have to be afraid of everything we are not familiar with, we've learned that snap judgements about someone, whether based on skin color or anything else, aren't necessarily true. And we have learned that treating others as you would have them treat you is a damn good way to make sure we can all get along and survive as a species. So racism, to me, is just plain silly, and something that will eventually be phased out anyway.
For what its worth...

They came as young black soldiers and did not look any different in uniform. If one has one white chicken in with a pen of brown hens guess which gets chased round the pen. That word is like a snake that slivers into the undergrowth, too many other problems to worry about these days. Ms. S.F.

How about someone who likes to drive their cars really, really fast? Oh, wait . . . that's a racer. Well, I'd rather be acquainted with a racer than a racist . . .
