A stupid law being implemented for a dumb reason. Are you sure this isn't taking place somewhere in an American city?

Copper Door Knobs
Copper has recently been found to be a very efficient germ repellent and is being used increasingly for infection control in hospitals. It would be wise for copper doorknobs to be retained if they exist, or even legislated in Vancouver to prevent future outbreaks of Measles like the one 'sweeping' through Canada at the moment.

So, now it'll be 'don't let the handle hit you on your way out the door' ?
Somehow it lacks the exact nuance necessary. And if all the guy's been called is a doorknob, he must be the exception.
