Damon, My Lust Bucket...

Regarding point number 2: I have often wanted to use a lowercase i as well when referring to myself.  However, when I have tried this, people always come down on me for it.

As for point #1, you are entirely right.  And I know the answer to my question when I asked it, however, I still had the desire to ask it.  (Long story behind the "why" I hit the wall.  My bf's hitting the door was when his ex-wife was going to take his daughter to the mainland without asking my bf if it was okay.)

Two Thoughts...
...from your Favourite Fantasy Figure (caps deliberate)

1. Your bf, first off, chose a wooden thing to hit. Wood gives and dents. You chose a ceramic wall to hit. Ceramic walls don't give, not do they dent. I once punched a hole through a door. I've never done that with a bathroom wall. If you must hit something (and there's another Why right there!) choose carefully!

2. There's a guy who writes in new Internationalist and he says he always uses lower case i when refering to himself. He says he'll start capitalising i when you is commonly capitalised, too. I've been thinking about that a lot.

I can't stand for people to use a combination of upper and lower case
letters in the same word, a la Honeykat4.  WhY?  wHy?

Speaking of bad English, I should have said "go," not "goes."

I think the explanation for writing everything in lower case is that it's a spillover from chat rooms.  Everyone is in a big hurry to chatter away; so punctuation, grammar, spelling, and just about everything that distinguishes English from gibberish goes out the window.
