Well Justi when we were kids I think it was Whit Monday folk would walk to a wood  about 5 miles away and gather these blue bells in large bunches. I remember once the head teacher introduced a lady. She told us not to pluck the blue bells as it killed the bulb kids used pull the stems to see how long they were. The right way was to snap them off at near ground level . I expect the wood is fenced off now.

beautiful blue bells and what a lovely poem. faeries often use the blue bell for a hat when the sun shines bright.

Oh these are so beautiful. I love the poem. Can these be used as cut flowers? The color is so pure and pretty.
