Very interesting and informative. I too had never heard of this tradition before. I hope more and more people follow through on such a tradition, as it seems to serve as a simple but wonderful tribute to the men who have fought and died in battle. I do hope that all those cemeteries collect a lot of coinage . . .

I did know that about the coins but what I didnot know is that it goes back to Roman times. ....Love your last line darlin'. You Know that I almost always read everything that your write.
