As for 'date movies,' comedies are probably the best bet. You'd want your date to be at ease, and a good laugh or two should accomplish that. As for the church being for or against the legalization of marijuana, I think they should be taken out of the equation entirely. I really don't have much faith, or put any emphasis, in the opinions of the church any more . . .

Comedy light Romance...Breakfast at Tiffanys something like that. musicals. You have some great old 60's music here Bill.

I do not have much of a dating history, but I would go with romantic comedies, I guess...I have learned in life that there are religious reasons used to support or oppose anything.
