Re:jeansaw

Probably the same very easy to grow if I use one as a stick it grows. Quite interestingly the rose called Peace was shipped in quantity to USA at he beginning of WW2 just I suppose encase it was destroyed. I have a rambler in that name and a nice one called Queen Elizabeth. Several others are dotted around they do need pruning quite hard in the Autumn and it probably pays to buy them potted at a garden Center, if you do like the look of one make sure the leaves are healthy and plant it into some nice soil with added peat compost or what you can get in grow bags etc. They are not to fussy but may want spraying with an appropriate rose spray if they show mildew, but I should think you would be bothered with that.Make sure to cut the rose as it fades to encourage new blooms. Sometimes if they are cheap I buy those small pot roses and plant out they do have a larger bloom and do not do very well in the pot after a while.  I don't know if you have a lot of sunshine ,if so a little shade from a distant tree might be perfect.

Re: CCT

Believe it Naut they want cutting hard in the Autumn , There are also a problem in places as they can grow on banks and even old walls. If you really want one break a shoot off the nicest one you see and stick it in the ground.

Re: For Taps and for You.

Seems a shame to cut the kitty in half.

Love this poem! I had to look up Buddleia, of course - maybe I should get one for my garden to attract even more butterflies...

Wouldst that Buddleja were growing here
to draw the flitting monarchs near,
showing panicles of fragrant flowers,
whilest I wile away the hours

just watching them appear
