Universal Donor, here...
But because of some meds I take, I can't donate. Sometimes I think I should get off the meds long enough to donate, then get back to them. The medication is lithium, for mood stabilizing. I might feel low from being off it, but that might be balanced by the donating.
I hope next time you will have someone with you to drive you home!

Re: JimmyA
Sorry to hear that, Jimmy! I had to look it up to find out what it was, but that seems like a nuisance. They had all kinds of cookies :) Chocolate chip, chocolate, macadamian nut, and my fave peanut butter. They gave me an extra pack of peanut butter ones, which was cool

Very commendable, and I wish I could donate. I have no fear of needles or the slight pain. But being diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncopy a few years back, I'm lucky if I can give blood just for the tests associated with my physicals! Glad you got through it! And just out of curiosity, what kind of cookies did they offer . . . ?
