Whoa. This is amazing. I can feel the emotion... it makes me feel helpless, saddened. I especially like this stanza.

 

The trickle of seconds that sweetens love's birth

lulls even the wary to follow the flow.

Ignoring the pain that is more than it's worth.

and clinging to something that just won't let go.

 

The rhythm of this poem is wonderful. I'm mouthing it aloud as I read, and boy does it just roll off the tongue. Outstanding job.

it made me think one lover was dieing and the other lover was in pain, wishing they could do more.  me thinks i just dont understand poetry.

If it were meant to last it would probably have lasted....Sad how some relationships start out so promising just to fizzle away.

Simple lack of clear communication

erodes many a relationship.
