Your mother needs to be in a home where she can get help. She is dangerous and it appears there are danger signals on many sides. Please get her to a place where others are safe.

Goodness Doc. You seem to get more of your fair share of misery. I would try to not get involved, but it seems they need you at times out of desperation. Your poor mother needs treatment probably, but I know how difficult it is to try to help people when they have a kind of hold on one. Do try to look after yourself, it does not appear that anyone else will. Perhaps talking about things which here is nearly anonymously might help alleviate your distress. After all it is only what councilors do and I think some of those have problems. Anyway it was nice to read you even if it was a lesson in torment.

I missed you of course but I am so sorry that this is all happening. Is Mum having some sort of mental melt down do you think??? or has she just had enough??? Do keep us updated if you have the time. I find that there is no such thing as a retired nurse. Sometimes one just has to do what they know that they can do better than someone else.

How have we been? Geez, the scenario(s) you've described sound like a far-fetched plot to a bad soap opera! Just how in the world did things 'devolve' into such goings-on? I'm just not sure what to say at this point. You've been away for so long, and then finally come back with a tale like this! If ever there was anybody in need of a rest ( or a long vacation ) I think it might be you . . .
