If this person is abusing both alcohol and their spouse, they may be beyond 'rehab' . . .

Smoking is a wretched habit that most folk once engaged in, but knowing the consquences, it should now be banned in as many places as possible. Although some just cannot give it up and should have a designed haven to keep everyone safe,

I feel that rehab in that instance can be the route. However, there is not only one way...I would say allowing patients to smoke is a bad idea.
