Re: Justi

I quite believe it Justi, it is probably the damp weather. Tissues were a wonderful invention who likes washing soiled handkerchiefs.

I read somewhere that the buttons on blazers were added in Brittan to keep military from wiping their noses on their sleeves.

Re: This one flew completely over my head...

Well Ciel an old girl keeps asking me to let her read some poems, I was abit offhand with her once, but I was not well at the time. Anyway I'll send her some unromantic ones and include this. Gosh you must be an expert at solving crimes by now. I used to watch that  series. Wipe your finger prints off that computer.

This one flew completely over my head...

which makes it no less charming, and a giggle, just knowing you are there behind it.

Nothing to do with my watching MIDSOMER MURDERS one after another, 6 seasons' worth in the past several days.

Re:

Yes I expect so Kabu. Although I cannot ever remember crying into my mother's lap.

Re:Naut

No I agree Naut, my mother never invited an old man into in the house because his nose dripped. We made him stand outside while we ate our soup,

CCT

The worst problem is having a drippy nose! You could never eat soup! I can't even watch other people with drippy noses eat soup...

I loved my Mothers apron. Not some frilly thing but the serviceable apron the covered her dress and had a big pocket. Being upset was OK if one could cry into her lap, into that Apron....and yes, wipe ones nose on it as well as dry the tears.
