The poor chap wearing them Kabu. Once I bought some men's tights I wore them for about two hours and could stand it no longer, they kept pulling on the hairs on my legs. I had to stop the car and pull them off. I feel sorry for ladies with hairy legs.

I think the clothes took longer to dry in those days Taps all wool and cotton, not only that there was no pollution from the sky or traffic. I often wonder if outside is worse than drying indoors these days.

we line dry our clothes here in Egypt....dryers are hard to find and very expensive....no such thing as a laundromat where you can take your clothes to wash and dry in about an hour or so....

Boy this brings back memories of my childhood and my dad's longjohns and trying to dry them in the winter. Mom would hang them on the line with the arms outstretched and they would freeze in that position. Then, like cold cardboard cutouts, we would carry them in the house to finish drying on a line hung over the furnace register. Mom sure could have used a dryer in those days what with a family of nine.
