Re:
I understand completely, TAPS. I always hated being tickled too, especially on the feet! Grabbing my sides and/or reaching under the arms I can tolerate . . . for a spell. But my feet? Stay clear . . . or risk being kicked!

Re: Re: Re:
Thanks, Kabu. I actually feel somewhat vindicated. Tell Percy that Harold is just fine! It was all a Monday morning joke . . .

I've always thought of tickling as child abuse because I was so ticklish that I hated being tickled.

Re: Re:
Oh what a relief. I have been soo-oo distressed. I couldn't look at Percy without bursting into tears over the parrot. Oh a joke, yes well I should have known since it was Monday.
Smile back in place.

There's always one, eh, Sir Wiley? I'm just glad I couldn't think of anything concerning a 'double-decker.' Who the heck would want to eat a bus too?

Re:
Oh, come on now, Kabu. It was just a joke! Don't worry. No one put any parrot's head in any vice! In fact, the parrot was actually in on it. He wanted the store owner to think he had died! That way, he would never have to worry about being returned to that store! It was all a ruse, and it worked . . .

Re:
Thanks, C C T. Believe it or not, when I 'construct' these jokes, I rarely think of the mickey of the readers. Some things people will get, some things people won't. Some things people will find hilarious, some things won't even warrant a smirk. As always, it's for the reader to decide . . .

Well, FSI, needless to say, we still have many 'chilly Mondays' ahead of us, and probably will from now til sometime in April! Hopefully I can keep the 'twists' and humor going til then . . .

Re: Jimmy
I assume, Naut, you're referring to John Cleese's 'ex-parrot' Polly. Yeah, somewhat similar circumstances, but something tells me his bird was already 'pushin' up the daisies' before he even got it home . . .

Hi Jimmy I suppose jokes have to shock a little bit or twist reality. Even the poor little bears so innocent in childhood. I do try to understand how a joke works, as I think you are about the only one who keeps churning them out , without taking the mickey out of your readers. Liked the parrot joke the best of course.
