I received a response from Homayun, the co-founder of Blogit. Here is what he wrote in bold:

Thanks for the thoughtful entry. I've spent some time thinking about it.
My initial feeling is that there are a number of obvious concerns, the biggest of which would be that all writers on Blogit would have to agree to make their writing available for free.
I'm not sure how likely that is, so I'm very interested in hearing what other Blogit members think.
(I also posted this as a comment on your entry in The Town Square.)
I wrote a response back via e-mail and in the Town Square. The crux of it is that I feel that there is support for it, but perhaps he wants to get a more formal consensus. If that is the case, I suggested he do so the week after Thanksgiving.

Any idea to expand both the membership and readership of Blog-it should be considered. I've been saying something along those lines for over a year now! The number of members may not necessarily increase, but the general readership should! Do what you think is best . . .

Wordpress was mentioned in an article that the Yahoo search engine btought up, putting down Blogit and its monthly fees. But members have to pay Wordpress $99 all at once. Blogit's convenient and again, they don't anyone to write but the wealthy Fabulous Fakes
like my rich character.
And you're posts are such a positive inspiration love.
