I love pomegranates. I treat myself when they are in season. It's not so difficult or messy to get the arils out if you do it under water. In a big bowl of water the white stuff floats to the top and the arils sink. Remove the floating debris, pour off the water, and voila you have lots of goodies to put in the fridge and use for nibbling, salads, ice cream topping, anything (and no stains).

Thanks for the tips. From what I understand, pomegranates ( and their juice ) are supposed to be very good for you . . .
