Very true, Annicita. It seems as though there might be some 'fringe benefits' as well . . .

Re: JimmyA
As we always say, Sir Wiley, everyone has to do what they have to do. Needless to say you would be sorely missed if you left, but I too continue to think of departing sometimes as well ( for me it's the 'time factor' ). Nothing personal taken at all from your comment. I understand completely . . .

Re: Making me feel normal.
They do indeed, Inside, they do indeed! That's one of the main reasons I present these as I find them. This is "From The Observation Deck," and this is what I observe, and share with everyone! So, sit back and enjoy the show . . .

Re:
I probably could have, C C T. But sometimes it's more fun to throw them out there as a group! Individually, they may not have the same impact. However, when viewed as a 'package,' they let people know just how f***ed up the rest of the world sometimes is . . .

Me too, jean, me too! But, as the immortal Bard once quipped, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women, merely players." In these cases, it's nice to be 'in the audience' as opposed to being 'on the stage' . . .

Re: JimmyA
Sorry, Sir Wiley. I guess I could have trimmed it down a bit and not have presented so many weird stories. I do know what you mean. There are times when, as interesting as someone's posting may be, I too simply may not have the time to read an 'epic.' I'll try to keep them under 500 words in the future . . .

Re:
Good question, FSI. I've heard similar tales in the past, when a 911 operator showed unbelievable callousness towards a caller, regardless of the circumstances. Fortunately, as in this case, the operators are 'dealt with' almost immediately . . .

I tend to agree, Naut. And I don't think any Icelanders will be killing anyone in the name of Odin, Thor or Frigga either . . .

Forgive me.Please delete my former comment, it's not meant to be personal, I really just want to quit reading ALL blogs more than 500 words, my age now has caught up with me. Perhaps quitting Blogit will be appropriate eventually for me.

I saw that on the news about the Anne Arundel 911 dispatcher. That was something to say the least. I wonder how he got the job in the first place.
