Re: cct
ginger must be the spice of life and if my toes were to fall off you will be the first in line. oh, i hope it was a mixture to prolong life and not something else, lol. cuddles are good too. 29 pounds is not much if it gives you a longer life.

Re: kabu
the toe sucking came from an ex sister in law, we are the same age and were married the same year, but even though she had 3 children by her husband, they never lived together, he would visit her on vacation and ooops. but she dated a lot of men and she told me once about the man that loved to suck her toes and how good it felt, lol, she also was seeing a man in his 20's when she was in her 60's. i would rather have an older gentleman suck my toes. lol

Re: lol jimmy
i will keep my toes safely tucked away in my warm socks. my comfort foods are all high in calories and cold weather just means cooked , hot foods for me.

Re:naut
extremes seem not to last long, there was a part in the article that hinted that may happen but i fail to see how that could happen. i hardly ever give lucy anything but dog food, dry, my vet says canned dog food rots their teeth, and dog treats, i might give her more than i need to and for bones i give her raw hide. so me letting her lick out my dish was unusual, or maybe the real me coming through. lol

Oh do send me your toes if they drop off Jean. I love a bit of ginger. I had a letter come yesterday a bottle of herbal mixture. It would prolong life £29 a bottle.

I make any kind of soup in cold weather and enjoy it with bread that's toasted or drying out. This evening I enjoyed soup made with chard, cauliflower, carrots, scallions, in chicken broth and at the end threw in some left-over mashed potatoes. Soup fills me up and keeps me warm.

For me, my diet does not change based off of the weather. I eat the same things throughout the year.

Many people have their own versions of 'comfort food' that probably are seasonal. Nothing like a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter's night though! My wife enjoys ginger too in various forms ( it's a bit 'spicy' for my tongue ) but I don't think she ever thought of soaking her feet in it. By the way, your toes may indeed taste delicious, but I think I'll pass . . .

I too give Bennie my plate to clean - but don't tell anyone, LOL...You just have to make sure not to give them anyting that's bad for them - nothing really spicy, no onion, no grapes or raisins, and never, ever any chicken bones or even other cooked bones...And kudos to you for giving that article by Wood a good try - I know it isn't easy reading! In fact, if you have questions, I'd be glad to answer them...
