Re:
They are indeed, chuck. There's a small section in the New York Post entitled "Weird But True" that usually has six or seven of these types of stories everyday. During the course of the week, I'm able to pluck out the 'best of the best' ( or the 'worst of the worst,' depending on your point of view ) and compile them to share with everyone. And like I always say, reading them does make one feel normal . . .

Re:
I know what you mean, Krisles. His heart was in the right place, even if his actual actions didn't necessarily comply. And I've heard it said that, if you want to feel skinny, you hang out with fat people. Something tells me that same sentiment may apply to normal . . .

Thanks so much for sharing these.....they make my neighbors seem so much more normal! Just kidding....sort of.
Actually, I think the guy with the kitten was kind of sad....but I'm a sucker for kitty stories.

Re:
I hear ya, Vermont! I still can't believe that one myself! And I've known many women who had complained about those underwires in their bras sometimes being somewhat uncomfortable. Maybe after hearing this story, they may not mind anymore . . .

Re:
Well, justi, I must say, wearing or not wearing a bra is certainly anyone's option! But if they do prove to actually be bullet-proof, I would definitely wear one outdoors! Well, not me personally, but I think you know what I mean . . .

Re:
I would think not, lustor! Years ago, when medical science wasn't as advanced, a mistake like that may have been relatively common. But today? How can that possibly happen? I'm sure that man had a few choice words for both his relatives and that doctor who pronounced him dead . . .

Re:
I wouldn't mind a kitten, C C T. But I know I wouldn't 'steal' one either! And there's a good topic for conversation: normal vs. abnormal! Everyone would have good opinions on that debate! Have fun shopping, Sir Lancelot . . .

They were indeed, Sir Wiley. And something tells me their 'attacks' were not random! Perhaps they were doing that on behalf of the average citizen who thought they were paying too much into those meters! Would you want to be the one who has to clean all that mess up?

As they should, adnohr! And you may be right. Seeing his 'patient' suddenly alive again may make him give up his practice! Then others will be able to live long, happy lives . . .

Re:
Something tells me, FSI, we may find out sooner than you think! If that screen is truly visible from space, those astronauts will let someone down here know about it! And then they'll ask the theater to play an 'old' movie they'll actually enjoy! Not any of the latest crap . . .

After all these years, Kabu, and after all the blogs everyone here has posted, I don't recall anyone mentioning anything in their personal lives that came even close to tales such as these! We're the audience, and these people are the clowns! Enjoy the show . . .

Re: Jimmy
That's very true, Naut. It seems as though there may have been a few pieces of this particular story missing, like why the woman ended up on the floor to begin with ( wouldn't the couch have been more comfortable? ). It wasn't like she suddenly needed rest after a busy day of housecleaning! The robot was doing all the work . . .

Re: jimmy
Well, jean, as they say, being 'normal' is all relative. But if it's a matter of comparison, I'd say we here in Blog-itville are normal, while the bulk of the rest of the world seems to be going somewhat insane . . .

Guess I won't even go around the house without a bra anymore, one never knows what might come through the window intended for another place.

Well I wonder if some folk would think normal folk were abnormal Jimmy. I suppose you don't want a kitten. I really enjoy these strange exploits of modern man. Well I suppose I had better don my suit of armour before going shopping.

Quite a collection again, LOL...And I'm not surprised at that robot sweeper - anything on the floor is theirs! I wouldn't dare even sitting on the floor, let alone lying down to take a nap, for Pete's sake...
