I suppose the best way to be 'bold and adventurous' is to really step out of your comfort zone, and do something you never thought you'd ever do, like dive off of a pier into the ocean! I'm not suggesting you do that, but you know what I mean . . .

Re: cct
my father left when i was about 3, but the year before he left he was in the va hospital mending from wounds from ww2. when i was 18 i joined the army and i was stationed not far from where he lived so i went to meet him. he died at the age of 57 just a few years later.
yes i was content and yes i am grateful that i am out of the loveless marriage i was in. actually i have never let my heart rule my mind at least i dont see it that way, its why i dont feel i was bold or adventurous.
how sweet are my blogit friends, when i said till the money ran out i did not mean all my money only the money i made at the auction. how nice to know that you all are looking out for me.
wow
a casual loving friend? what if they turned out not to be selfish?

Did you ever meet your blood father later in life Jean? It does seem that you came from adventurous stock. I suppose you have been moderately content with life, sadly nothing is perfect. You could have eventually been been trapped in a loveless condition. I have seen many cases like that and it was miserable. There are not many cases like our current lovebirds. Most folk as they age want to do things their own way. My advice for what it is worth ,is not to spend all your money and do not let your heart rule your mind.
Sometimes a casual loving friend is better than than a permanent selfish lover.

Just be your sweet self. I do think you have had adventure recently and when the money runs out you will be miserable and homesick. Perhaps just downsize, take that holiday, but keep in touch sweetie.

As long as you have a little nest egg, I'd say go for it. I've been doing it all my adult
life.
