I think there is a lot to this concept...more than living past lives actually. My sister makes beautiful refiined lace with delicate English bobbins. Her work is exquisite and she has no idea why she needs to make it but she just does. Were some of our ancestors lace makers?

Very interesting! Back in the 18th and early 19th centuries Jean Baptiste Lamarck, a French scientist, theorized that aquired traits could be passed on to future generations, a theory largely rejected by modern geneticists. But, surprisingly, lately there has been some evidence which might support that old idea! However, since I'm certainly no geneticist and don't know the details of those studies either, I'll withhold judgment...

A fun part of life is seeing those sort of connections being made.

Well K . This is only my opinion you were enraptured by the vase something may have happened to you at one time that you had forgotten and the sensation was enthralling. I don't think that was a link to a pre-life of some sort/ Have you noticed most folk with this admission always recall contact with someone of importance. However as you call it genetic memory, could I believe go way far back, just look how a skill survives in a family, I know things are taught, but there must be more to it than that. Most likely we never try to go beyond a defined boundary.
