I can understand that. I have always wanted to sleep but an anxiety used to be able to keep me awake at times. So could loneliness.

What an amazing transformation! Clearly you needed that freedom, even it brings pressures of its own...

Re:
FSI Jobs are so bad for so many people. Most have their jobs just for the money. Sad, because I am only now learning that fulfillment is a better reason to work, and that money will come.

Re:
JimmyA---I also had migraines! That is the worst--and I have worked in graphics as well. Other people make what should be a rewarding, creative job a total nightmare.
O, and get this--the building had a mold problem, so I was sick with some mystery lung problem 3 or 4 times a year that lasted for weeks and took a steroid to knock out.

Re:
C C T it is very depressing to hate your job. It wasn't the tasks that were getting me down. I do much of what I did at that job with my home business. the difference is I set my goals, I achieve my goals, and I reap all the rewards, which are not just financial rewards. I don't have to wait for someone to throw me a bone anymore.

I know the feeling exactly! At the last place I worked ( a graphic arts house ) the daily pressures were enormous! Besides sleeplessness, I had terrible migraines. Once I left that job, those ailments went away! Glad you're doing better, and I'm somewhat surprised those 'boring movies' didn't do the trick for you . . .

A job can definitely turn a person into an insomniac.

I think it was a kind of latent depression, you were unhappy most of the time but
you did not have to give in to it. Something had to protest. I guess you found that out.

It is so good that you have figured it out. And I hope you are slumbering deeply as I write this!
