Re: Re: Re:
Don't get yourself angry, Kabu, especially over things you simply cannot control! It seems that, almost every time I hear or read some fantastic story that makes me roll my eyes, shake my head, and really, really wonder where the human race is headed, I hear or read something else even more fantastic, if that's even possible! It never ends, it never ends . . .

Re: jimmy
Well, believe it or not, jean, I don't think any one state is 'exclusive' when it comes to stupidity, just as it doesn't seem to be unique to any one country. It's rampant! We have our share here in Jersey too, believe me . . .

Re: Jimmy
Really, Naut? Now, we all know that the 'original' Civil War was over slavery and state's individual rights. What would the next Civil War actually be over? Taxation? Race relations? Political conflict? Or would people simply get tired of their neighbors and think "Hey, I'd better destroy them before they destroy me!" I hope I'm not around to see that . . .

Re:
Somehow I do, C C T. I believe that, the bulk of these stories were probably too bizarre for the 'mainstream media' to report on. They usually find themselves tucked away here and there in various periodicals, or in a section of the New York Times called "Strange But True." They are fun to share though . . .

Re:
No, it's not, adnohr. And I guess that's really the down side. No one out there has a monopoly on stupidity, I guess. And I glean these from a tiny section in the New York Post entitled "Strange But True," and fortunately ( or unfortunately, depending on your point of view ), it's filled everyday! I guess idiotic behavior isn't going away anytime soon . . .

Re:
No problem, Kabu. And you're off a bit. It's not a mad, mad world. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world! At one time I actually thought that I might run out of tales like these to share. But, with the state of all our societies today, I don't see that happening anytime soon . . .

Sometimes I don't know, Sir Wiley. Is it possible to 'quit' the Human Race, simply because you're embarrassed by your fellow citizens? I guess that's why there's still hermits around . . .

Re:
Hard to say, FSI. However, the funny part is, as bizarre as some of these stories and antics are, I guarantee you that something even stranger will be perpetrated by someone else sooner or later. It keeps us all entertained . . .

No indeed, lustor. But, as I've always said, at least reading about these people kinda makes you feel a little better about yourself! I can look in the mirror each day and think "I'm not an idiot!"

Re:
It is indeed, Krisles! And not only is it strange, but it's downright comical as well. If there are UFO's and aliens, they must be watching us on their monitors and thinking, "Let's not land! Let's just observe these morons from afar . . . "

Re:
That's good, TAPS, although, in a lot of ways, some of these stories should make us angry and sad too. Remember, these are some of our fellow citizens! We're all in this together, I suppose . . .
