The garden time is so short up here but I do have daffodils flowering and tulip bulbs growing. all amongst the mess.
I never cut my flowers. They are for Summer time outside beauty.

Well Krisles I am trying out various flowers for cutting, of course our climate is quite different to yours I have sweet peas as the are quite hardy, and carnations and pinks. Dahlias are always a good bet, I really like the gerbera I might trial some in the greenhouse.
I suppose so many folk have replaced gardens and lawns with gravel that they feel the need to buy flowers. I don't really like selling them, but it is for a good cause and if I think a selection is under par I just put free on them and whoosh they vanish.

It feels so great inside to see one's hard work pay off in the form of a beautiful, vibrant garden.

Great fun! I too love flowers of all kinds, and in abundance - but for some inexplicable reasons I can never remember what's what - except for the mst obvious ones of course, like roses and tulips and daisies, and of course dandelions, LOL...
And tomatoes? I actually did grow my own fo a couple of years...Then a new neighbour moved in with two large huskie; they were kept outside in a kennel, and the kennel wasn't always kept clean; and large bluebottle flies discovered the kennel and its delicious offerings; and then, having had their fill, they would sit in the sun on my lovely red tomatoes and sun themselves; and that was when I gave up growing my own tomatoes...I know it's silly, and I thoroughly wash even the tomatoes I buy at the supermarket, but there was something about those flies that totally turned me off...
