My daughter is always less trouble than my boy. Boys always love risk and go for it.

There is an organization for free range kids...how sad that we need one!
I as well as my kids were raised free range. We have to love them enough to set boundaries and teach the difference of right and wrong...we have to allow them to make decisions and take the consequences. Love my boys

Funny one does not see many children until they are nearly grown or very tiny. Yes we used to travel miles two to a bycycle but there was not any traffic to speak of on the roads. Our favourite was a board on wheels it took about three to steer and trundle along. Brings back memories.

I was a free range kid, and so were my w kids - and we didn't live in the country. And we all survived...

every memory is precious...especially for you darling, and I guess we all had to make some tough discipline decisions. I grounded my two for a week once. worst week of my life because i had to supervise.LOL

Lovely memory, Justi. I can just hear your daughter snickering at your statement BEFORE you found out it was your own.

Free-range kids are a dying breed these days. I wonder if they will make a comeback.
