The greatest thing I learned from becoming a Christian is this: Jesus forgave me of every single sin I ever committed. They are all under his blood. For such a long time I felt guilty and worried over some of the very foolish things I did then I read where when they are forgiven God spreads them as far from his memory as the east is from the west. It is bondage to bring them back up. I also learned that he forgives my trespasses as I forgive others. I must forgive everybody, I mean everybody who ever hurt me in any way. I don't have to tell them, I can tell God and I am free of that angst. This has freed me so very much. I agree with Kabu about your mother. I love your work.

are people judgmental? probably not, just trying to be helpful when you aren't really asking for help. LOL
Sounds to me as a retired gerontology RN that your Mum is in a deep depression and may need some mild chemical help for the adjustment to her new AND she knows, last stop in life. It is a big one to swallow, that knowing that there are no more adventures. She is safe where she is and she has a wonderful daughter ...you....who does everything that you can to make her life pleasant...but the fact for her is her freedom is curtailed.

I've never made a tapestry, or even anything made out of granny squares, but I like to think of life as a tapestry. It seems to fit the thought.
