It seems hardship was a way of life. Justi I wonder if today if folk would bring food and bedding etc. so eagerly. Poor woman it was very sad.

What hard times, back then, but also for lots of people at anytime through history. What a story this is. I would like to think that her two sons went to visit her in Alabama while they had a chance.

these stories are Priceless and MUST be handed on down. I am sure she never saw her sons again, life was so difficult and precious. No you didn't rush around buying "NEW" all the time, throwing perfectly goos away because it was last years...it was too easy to lose what really mattered.
