The father in Chicago is charged with a crime, but yes, you are right, these parents have paid the ultimate price for their mindless stupidity. I fervently wish everyone would get a wake up call from such heartbreaking tragedies... Thank you for reading, commenting...

I wonder how many parents were charged with a crime for not responsibly storing their weapons????? I suppose the death of their child who paid the price for their stupidity is all that is taken into account here in the name of justice.Well written painful post.

It's shocking as to where today's culture's going down from parents to their children, finding the guns to use. Where's Mattel toys when you need them love?

People with brains that work would know to lock their guns away from kids; huge, horrible problem is in this country, you can be mindless/ insane/provably irresponsible, careless, etc. and have no problem getting a hold of a gun or guns..

Goodness me, This is awful in any Country. Can't guns be locked into a gun safe away from Children? The Father of my Sons kept his gun at my parents place so little boys never knew where they were.
