yes that's right. Tis a true statement that if you go nuts with too much to get done that you can be running around like a chook with its head chopped off.

Well we would never cook a warm bird, they always had to hang for a day or two and pheasants until they were turning blue. Of course we just broke their necks, ducks were very tough .

Dad used to chop the head off a rooster when we were kids on the farm. He would tie it to the clothes line and it would shake and do all sorts of fascinating antics. Then we girls would help Mother pluck the feathers and she would clean it from inside out ready for the pot.
