I know! I saw a story about a kid who tried returning the toy after he stole it. However he was caught in the middle of the task and the store manager called his parents. His mother grounded him for all four weekend as of a month. She also with-held his desserts.
I read some of the YouTube comments below it and many th thought it was unfair. They said things like, "All the guilt he went through was punishment enough" and I think to myself, uh no. Theft isn't something you can just let slide. Courts sure wouldn't. Better to nip it in the bud with a good, solid impression.

I remember my mom walking my sister back to the store to return what she took and that was over a mile!
