Re: Katray2
I have to come back to this again. You said he would be too young to have fought in Veit Nam and you thought it was a country yarn or some such. Well he was not in that war this was WW!!. Iwo Jima. I don't know if I am spelling this correctly but the war was a horrible battle and I am not going to yet agrue another dot and title accuracy about this. I believe it to be true and don't plan on spending a lot of research time.

Katray2
I have no idea it was from the person another star, I have forgotten his name who served with them. It was a warm story and lifted me and looks like others were too. I hope it is true. I put it on here believing it to be true. That is all I can say.

Very interesting, Dear Justi. However, Mr. Rogers was born in 1928
which makes him too old for Vietnam.
Seems the whole thing about a military past is actually urban legend - http://navyseals.com/ns-overview/notable-seals/mr-rogers-navy-seal/

I never knew this about these gentlemen, Justi. I'm humbled by this. God bless them and ALL who served.

A heart warming post Justi. You don't hear of many generals getting shot in the rear.
