Good point Ciel, I once wanted to own a fleet of traveling vans selling groceries of course folk rode bicycles in those days.

One of the requisites of mental stability
has been called unrealistic optimism. Looking too close and hard at what seems real and likely and set in stone... or sand... could likewise be the definition of depression.
Your poem rings a chime for me: When we are young, everything seems possible, we hope and believe, we plan based on cherished but untested ideals Choices made, consequences experienced, we let go of hoping against the evidence of what we learn of the Real World.
The sand, though, is golden and bright, and we can shape it into many things.
