- Go to Liar Liar the House Is On Fire - Another TRUE STORY
Well W.L. in the old days the folk in some cottages felt the benefit of a fire which was in the kitchen, as it warmed the bedroom wall of course round here the cottages were built of stone. It does seem as you say, something is wrong with a system that allows a recognition of safety, when the whole house can go up in flames. Photos were a token of comfort though.

WOW, how terribly tragic. So many lives ruined by one man's oversight or incompetence. Your parents were wise to get re-inspected, they avoided becoming the inspector's next victim.
I don't use my fireplace anymore because I got tired of the maintenance. Didn't know they could be so dangerous.

I am outraged and also really saddened by this...What's more, I think I'll have my fireplace inspected, even though I haven't had the slightest problem with it, so far; and finally: I'm going to make sure the fireplace inspector has insurance!
